Deb Belden has always felt at home in the kitchen, and after two decades of working in the restaurant industry, she decided to be the creator of her own destiny in 2007 by opening Farrar’s Bistro.
Starting with a small space in Vancouver, Washington, Farrar’s first kitchen held just a smoker, an electric oven and a panini grill, and Deb had a vision in mind: to serve comfort food with flair, made from only the freshest, finest local ingredients.
Today, Farrar’s Bistro has tripled in size while staying true to that original mission. Deb’s happiness comes from pleasing people through food, and she succeeds with a menu that offers a creative take on comfort foods like mac and cheese, burgers, sandwiches and more.
Nearly everything served at Farrar’s Bistro is made in-house, down to all the sauces, rubs and dressings, and the chef continues to this day to smoke all the meat on-site. Stop by for lunch, dinner or happy hour on our new patio to taste the difference for yourself.
Farrar’s Bistro is proud to call Vancouver home, and we give back to the community whenever possible. Over the years, we have supported many local organizations, including the Clark County Food Bank, the Vancouver School for the Blind, Vancouver’s local public and private schools, Pacific NW Hospice, the Dorenbecher Children’s Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the American Cancer Society, Journey Theater, Young Life, the Vancouver Symphony, New Directions Community Church, the CC Historical Society, Coastal Conservation Association, Furry Friends, the Lewis River Rotary and more!
Open six days a week, Farrar’s Bistro also offers catering services and is available for private parties throughout the Vancouver area. There’s always something special going on in the restaurant, like our now famous Back to School Brunch (stop by after dropping the kids off for mimosas and breakfast specials!), or our annual bingo fundraiser for Open House Ministries.
